AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Peppinot Press is an independent publisher of non-fiction titles for discerning readers.

We don't publish fiction, poetry or children’s books. Nor are we interested in 'how to', self-help or memoirs. These may be great books but we're not the publisher for you.

We are looking for manuscripts that show evidence of serious research into the works of others. We want to see some critical analysis of the opinions of writers and thinkers, and/or suggest possible new avenues of work.

We are not able to offer critiques of manuscripts. If you require such services please contact the Writers' Centre in your state and they will assist.

Sorry for the heavy words, but we're trying to save you and us from wasted effort and expense.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

You must submit by email first. If we like what we see then we will invite you to submit more on paper or email. 

1. A covering email with:

• a brief synopsis of the project (about 200 words)
• a brief biography of the author(s)
• an outline of the book's projected readership
• a list of any similar books, and tell us why yours is different
• anything else relevant.

2. Manuscript: whole or part

We need to see enough to get an idea of the scope of the project as well as your wirting style.

• Table of contents
• Selected chapters OR whole manuscript
• Optional: Bibliography/ References
• Optional: Images - a few small low-resolution images for a quick initial assessment.

RESPONSE TIME

Our aim is to reply within a month; if we are taking longer, please send us a reminder email .
